Sugar prices costlier on good demand
Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) Sugar prices rose on good demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said today.
Sugar in small and medium grades hiked by Rs five and Rs ten per quintal respectively on increase of fresh demand.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades went up by Rs 15 and Rs five per quintal respectively on lesser stock supply.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,305/1,340, Medium grade Rs 1,335/1,390, Ex-mill Small grade Rs 1,295/1,310, Medium grade Rs 1,315/1,355.
