Security vigil in Thar express following violence in Karachi

Jaipur, May 14(UNI) Security has been beefed up on the Thar Express and the western border following violence in Pakistan's Karachi.

Security has also been tightened at Munabao station. A bomb disposal squad and dog squad were pressed into service before the arrival of the Thar Express from Pakistan on Saturday, railways sources said.

The security staff carried out a complete check of the 498 passengers at Munabao station which resulted in delay of the train by almost 12 hours before it reached Jodhpur.
