SAIL appoints new Commercial Director

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Public sector company, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) appointed Mr Shoeb Ahmed as the Director (Commercial) today.

Associated with SAIL since 1974, Mr Ahmed was the Executive Director (Marketing Long Products) at SAIL's Central Marketing Organisation headquarters in Kolkata prior to this, a statement issued here said.

He also held key posts in Human Resource Development and Corporate Planning departments of SAIL. While heading the company's Corporate Affairs Division during 1997-2003, he was at the communication exercise related to SAIL's turnaround efforts.
