New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) To capture first time mobile users in the country, Reliance Communications (RComm) today launched its range of coloured CDMA handsets costing Rs 1,222.

The new product under RComm's 'Classic' brand comes after the launch of its Rs 777 CDMA black and white phone of which one million handsets have already been sold.

These phones are targeted at the first time mobile users as well as the replacement market in which Nokia is the leader so far.

At this aggressive note, RComm plans to rope in more than one million subscribers from its Classic 631, 632 and 231 models priced at Rs 1,222, Rs 1,234 and Rs 1,299 respectively.

''We want this scheme to do equally well. We will definitely be talking in millions,'' RComm Wireless Business President S P Shulka told reporters here.

Once spectrum allocation is in place, the Anil Ambani controlled-RComm will foray into the GSM sector expecting sizeable numbers.

The RComm Chairman had earlier announced an investment of one billion dollars for its GSM roll out after the 3G spectrum sale.
