Private security agency staff arrested in TN

Chennai, May 14: Police have arrested five people, including the Manager of a private security bureau, for possessing unlicensed guns and ammunition at Nungambakkam in the city.

Police said they seized four guns and a few rounds of ammunition from the arrested, Showkat Ali, Bismilla Ansari, Shahabudeen Khan, Rasheed Alam and Security Bureau Manager A S Singh, yesterday.

The arms possession came to light following a shoot out incident at a private container manufacturing factory, when four people of the security bureau working as security guards opened fire at a ten-member dacoit gang and chased them away at suburban Tiruvotriyur here on May six.
