TN: Post-resignation Maran thanks CM, Party

Coimbatore, May 14: After sending the resignation letter to the Prime Minister's Office, Union Minister of Communications and IT Dayanidhi Maran thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for giving him an opportunity to serve the country as a Minister for the last three years.

In a statement issued at Udhagamandalam tonight, where he had gone for a private visit, Mr Maran said, ''I never worked against the party (DMK) nor my leader M Karunanidhi. I will never involve in anti-disciplinary activities in the future.'' He said, ''I have grown with the help of my lader (Mr Karunanidhi) and he has put me in this position. Hence, I do not want to say anything more on this.'' He thanked Mr Karunanidhi and the party for giving him a chance to serve the nation and the people of Tamil Nadu for the last three years in the capacity of a Union Minister.
