MLA granted anticipatory bail

Patna, May 14 (UNI) A local court today granted anticipatory bail to Mokama MLA Anant Singh in a case relating to shoot-out during a railway tender in 2003.

Patna District&Sessions judge, Mandhata Singh ordered Mr Singh to surrender before the lower court and to furnish a bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties.

According to the FIR, filed nearly four years ago, during a railway tender at Mahendru ghat here, an encounter took place between the supporters of Suraj Bhan Singh and Anant Singh.

Altogether six people were allegedly injured in the said incident.
