MCR employees' stir

Rajahmundry, May 14 (UNI) Activities in the Municipal Corporation of Rajahmundry (MCR) came to a stand-still today with employees and the workers of all categories, joining a state-wide indefinite strike demanding provincialisation of their services that will get them wages from the treasury.

More than 800 employees participated in the stir.

The staff erected a tent in front of the MCR office and staged a dharna, in support of the demand.
