Koda govt not working properly: JMM
Ranchi, May 14 (UNI) The major ally of UPA backed Madhu Koda government of Jharkhand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today alleged that the state government was not working 'properly.' Talking to reporters after a two-day party meeting, JMM's deputy president Hemlal Murmu, MP, said the Koda government was not working according to its priorities set at the time of its formation.
'' In last seven months the state government has failed to formulate any policy and initiate action for the betterment of people in the state,'' Mr Murmu said.
He said the government should also declare the Common Minimum Programme and rehabilitation policy.
Attacking on the independent MLAs, who are ministers in the Koda cabinet, Mr Murmu said his party was also concerned over the 'misuse' of government funds and 'publicity stunts' being adopted by them.
Mr Murmu said the party would soon launch an 'aggressive' programme against corruption and would go among the people to check the menace.
He said reducing the reserved seats belonging to scheduled tribes by the delimitation commission would create adverse impact over tribal people and demanded to add Jharkhand in sixth schedule of the Constitution.
Speaking about party's future programmes, the JMM leader said, membership drive would begin from May 15 and training programme would also be organised from June 14 in every district.
