Indo-Nepal border security tightened for polls
Patna, May 14: Security along the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar hasbeen tightened in view of the May 26 Municipal Corporation and NagarPanchayat elections.
DIG, Headquarters, Anil Kumar Sinha here today said though theSeema Sashastra Bal (SSB) forces were already present in the area, moresecurity personnel would be brought in to keep round the clock vigil tothwart the entry of the nefarious forces from across the border.
He informed that necessary instructions had already been issued to the SPs of all bordering districts in this regard.
Polling would be held in 364 Wards of seven MunicipalCorporations, 1365 Wards of 42 Nagar Parishad and 1207 Wards of 70Nagar Panchayat throughout the state.
Result is likely to be declared after two days.
