Indo-Nepal border security tightened for local bodies elections
Patna, May 14 (UNI) Security along the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar has been tightened in view of the May 26 Municipal Corporation and Nagar Panchayat elections.
DIG, Headquarters, Anil Kumar Sinha here today said though the Seema Sashastra Bal (SSB) forces were already present in the area, more security personnel would be brought in to keep round the clock vigil to thwart the entry of the nefarious forces from across the border.
He informed that necessary instructions had already been issued to the SPs of all bordering districts in this regard.
Polling would be held in 364 Wards of seven Municipal Corporations, 1365 Wards of 42 Nagar Parishad and 1207 Wards of 70 Nagar Panchayat throughout the state.
Result is likely to be declared after two days.
