IIT-G student missing

Guwahati, May 14 (UNI) A final year student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, (IIT-G) has been missing since last week, IIT-G officials said here today.

A Public Relations cell officer of IIT-G said that Pramathesh Ramchiary, a final year student of the Computer Science Engineering Department, was missing since May 8.

The officer added that the student's father had contacted the Institute on May 11, being unable to contact his son.

Ramchiary was a resident of Borjhar in Asom.

'' We have lodged a missing person case at the Jalukbari police station, but no leads have been established as yet,'' he added.

Meanwhile, the vacations have started in the IIT-G and most of the students had left the hostels.
