CPI(Maoist) halt road construction in J'khand
Chatra, May 14 (UNI) Maoists set afire a GCB machine, needed for building roads, and forced all construction works to stop in Jharkhand's Chatra district last night.
District Suprintendent of Police Akhlesh Jha today said the ultras torched the equipment being used in road construction connecting Bandarchumba and Gangapur area in the district.
Mr Jha said the ultras had demanded levy from the agency involved in construction and after they were refused the CPI(Maoists) set it ablaze.
Raids were on to nab the ultras, he added.
