Canadian investment sought in environmental technology

Chandigarh, May 14 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today invited Canadian companies to invest in environmental technology and transmission and generation sectors of power in the state.

These views were expressed by the Chief Minister while interacting with Canadian High Commissioner David Malone here.

He apprised Mr Malone about the steps being taken to increase power generation in the state.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for initiating an exchange programme especially in the field of environmental technology as Canada was a leading country in environmental technology.

While lauding the progress made by Haryana in every sphere, Mr Malone congratulated Chief Minister as the state had made all round development under his stewardship.

He said that there was a great potential to invest in automobiles and transmission and generation sector of power.

He said the premier of Canada would visit India during the ensuing winter season.

Mr David said that the location of Haryana was very ideal as it was situated in the vicinity of the National Capital.

He said his country was looking towards the environment technology as there was a great potential to invest in this sector. He invited the Chief Minister to visit Canada.
