Boy dies after being hit on nose

Kolkata, May 14 (UNI) A nine-year-old boy succumbed to injuries last night which he sustained after being hit on the nose by his classmate here on Friday.

Official sources said the student of Aswini Dutta Primary School in Belgachia in North Kolkata was engaged in a duel with his fellow student over a trivial issue.

The boy was assaulted even as other students tried to pacify the warring duo, sources said.

The victim was taken to the Headmaster's room where he was given first aid. But as he continued to bleed profusely he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died.
