BJP National Executive in Rajasthan next month

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) The BJP will hold its National Executive in Rajasthan for two days in the middle of next month to analyse the causes for the rout in Uttar Pradesh where the party's strength came down to 50 from 88, sources said.

The most likely dates are June 15, 16 and 17 but no final decision has been taken about the venue. "It could be in Jaipur or Mount Abu," informed sources said.

The party would be seriously contemplating not only its declined voter base in Uttar Pradesh, country's biggest and politically sensitive state but is most worried about losing its vote base to Mayawati and discuss the ways of stemming the rot before it is too late, sources said.

The Parliamentary Board of the party has already met where former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had expressed his anguish about renominating all the party MLAs 'blindly' irrespective of their winning chances in UP.
