Bihar Executive engineer chargesheeted
Patna, May 14 (UNI) The State Vigilance Bureau today chargesheeted an executive engineer and his accomplice in a special court here on charges of cheating, corruption and criminal breach of trust.
The chargesheet was submitted before Special Vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act.
The executive engineer, Akhilesh Kumar Sharma, was posted in the Darbhanga Division.
The prosecution said both were caught red-handed by the vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 18,500 on March 17.
Subsequently, raids at different places were conducted and Mr Sharma was found possessing unaccounted wealth, including Rs 17 lakh in cash, besides landed property.
