Bihar energy minister apprised about Jyotirgam project
Anand, May 14 (UNI) Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad has evinced keen interest in the ''Jyotirgram Yojna'', that supplies uninterrupted power to 1,800 villages in Gujarat.
The minister, accompanied by chairman of Bihar Electricity Board Swapna Mukherjee and other IAS officials today visited the Madhya Gujarat Vig Company Ltd (MGVCL) to learn more about the project.
They later visited MGVCL's sub-division at Borsad, 20 km from here, and were apprised about the project, that was launched by State Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
The project provides 24-hours 3-phase power uninterrupted power supply to farmers too, they were told by officials.
