'Aerosmith' to perform in Bangalore

Bangalore, May 14 (UNI) A rare feast awaits music lovers when 'Aerosmith', the greatest band in the history of rock and roll performs in Bangalore Palace Ground on June 2.

The band would be performing in their first ever concert in India, 'Bad Boys from Boston' as part of its 'Greatest Hits 2007 World Tour' sponsored by Royal Challenge in partnership with DNA Networks.

United Spirits Limited Executive Vice President Alok Gupta said that 'Royal Challenge' was proud to present Aerosmith to the Forever Young Indian audiences. Like Aerosmith, Royal Challenge was a brand that has appealed to a wide spectrum of audiences cutting across age and time. In true sense this is an association of two legends coming together'', a release here today.

Venkat Vardhan, Managing Director DNA Networks, said ''Aerosmith is one of America's greatest cult bands and we're proud to be the first to get them to India. They hold the record for the most gold, platinum and multiplatinium albums by any American group and have a very strong fan following in India too. The concert will be a must watch as we are not leaving any stones unturned to make this one of the most memorable gigs in the country so far.'' Founded in 1973, Aerosmith have been performing as the original line up for the past 34 years. The band has more than 25 bill board top 40s to its credit, including chart busters such as Dream On, Get your wings, Janies got a gun and Crazy. The band's I Don't want to miss a thing from Armageddon staring Tyler's daughter Liv, reached the Number One slot of Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for an Academy award.

Aerosmith's musical evolution over the years has made them major innovators in American hard rock, pop, glam, blues and rap. They have inspired rock legends like Gun's n Roses, Bon Jovi, Nirvana and many more.
