405 new shcools, hostels to be come up in C'garh

Raipur, May 14 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh Government has approved setting up of 405 new ashrams, schools and hostels for providing better education to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students, official sources said.

A provision of Rs 20.77 crore has been made for setting up 113 new ashrams, 251 pre-matric and 41 post-matric hostels. Besides, the number of schools and hostels would be increased.

The government's decision would benefit 21,560 students.

A provision of Rs 42 crore had been made in the budget for constructing 128 ashram schools and 49 hostels.
