3 nominations filed for Ullal Assembly seat

Mangalore, May 14 (UNI) Three nominations, including that of official candidates of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist) were filed today for the June 2 by-election to the Ullal Assembly seat.

While Congress has fielded Mr U T Khader, son of Mr U T Fareed, whose death caused the election, BJP has fielded Mr Chandrahasa Uchil and CPI(M) has fielded Balakrishna Shetty.

The candidates came in separate processions along with their supporters for filing nomination papers.

Tomorrow is the last date for filing nominations.
