15 killed, 25 injured in road accident in AP

Adilabad (Andhra Pradesh), May 14: At least 15 people were killed on the spot and 25 injured, five of them seriously, when a van in which they were travelling collided head-on with a speeding lorry near Rolmamida village of Neredigonda mandal in this district today.

Police said the van, on its way here from Kortical village, collided with the lorry, proceeding to Nirmal from Adilabad.

The injured were rushed to Nirmal hospital for treatment.

Police swung into rescue operations to retrieve the bodies from the mangled van.

The number of casualties may go up, police said.
