Two die in a road accident

Jamshedpur, May 13 (UNI) At least two persons were killed and three injured, one of them critically, when a speeding truck hit cyclists and pedestrians at Agrico Chowk under Sitaramderah police station area here today.

Police said the accident occurred when the driver of the truck lost control and hit two cylcists, Shaqil Ahmed(45) and Dilbahadur Thapa (40).

Both died on the spot while three women, who were walking on the footpath, sustained injuries.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where the condition of one of them was said to be critical.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post mortem, police added.
