TDP hits out at AP Govt on corruption

Hyderabad, May 13: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged corruption in the state had increased in the last three years and the administration completely collapsed.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Naidu alleged the state government had neglected the development and welfare of the people of the state and corruption was increasing by the day.

Releasing a 'charge sheet' listing alleged irregularities in the state during the last three years, he said the government had failed to procure funds from the Centre.

He alleged Chief Minster Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's main agenda was the welfare of his family and not that of the state. Though the government claimed to be spending more funds on irrigation projects, it could not bring even one cent of land under new ayacut.

Besides harassment of opposition parties had increased and there was no freedom of press in the state.

The Congress leaders were encroaching upon government and poor people's lands under the guise of Special Economic Zones (SEZs), he charged.

The government neglected farmers and was not providing remunerative prices for agricultural produce.

He called upon party workers to fight against 'irregularities' committed by the government and create awareness among the people on the 'anti-people' policies of the government.
