Manipur polls: T L Singh to contest in Khundrakpam

New Delhi, May 12: Mr Thokchom Lokeswar Singh will contest on a Congress ticket the by-election to the Khundrakpam Constituency in Manipur.

His name was cleared by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, a release here today said.

The by-election to the constituency was necessitated following the death of sitting MLA Thokchom Nabakumar.

The by-election would be held on June 2, 2007.
