Rains likely in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east, northeast

Pune, May 13 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, and at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema and Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Vidarbha and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, appreciably above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Praesh and Tamil Nadu, and were above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, coastal Orissa, west Madhya Pradesh, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, in remaining parts of Vidarbha and Telangana.

Day temperatures were markedly below normal in Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh, and appreciably below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Haryana and Punjab.
