Over 32 lakh tonne wheat arrives in Haryana mandis
Chandigarh, May 13 (UNI) Over 32.67 lakh metric tonnes (MTs) of wheat has arrived in the mandis Haryana so far this season.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan today said six government procuring agencies had procured 29.32 lakh MTs of wheat while the traders had purchased the remaining 3.34 lakh MTs.
He said HAFED had procured 11.28 lakh MTs of wheat, Food and Supplies Department 7.06 lakh MTs, Food Corporation of India 3.18 lakh MTs, Agro Industries Corporation 2.88 lakh MTs and Haryana Warehousing Corporation 2.60 lakh MTs of wheat and Confed 2.29 lakh MTs.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the Sirsa district was still ahead with the arrival of 5.79 lakh MTs followed by Fatehabad 4.57 lakh MTs, Karnal 4.25 lakh MTs, Kaithal 4.22 lakh MTs, Jind 4.03 lakh MTs, Kurukshetra 2.85 lakh MTs, Panipat 1.47 lakh MTs, Ambala 98,417 MTs, Yamunanagar 75,411 MTs and Sonipat 74,695 MTs.
