Kolhapur, May 13 (UNI) City NCP workers have demanded expulsion of NCP MP Sadashivrao Mandlik and state NCP school education minister Hassan Mushrif from the party for the continuing spat between them for their self interest.

The spat was sparked off over politics in the Kolhapur District Central Co-operative Bank, six months back.

NCP City Chief R K Powar today told reporters that the party workers at a meeting, held here last evening, strongly criticised Mandlik and Mushrif and demanded that the two leaders should be expelled in the interest of the party if they do not resolve their differences in the next 10 days.

He said the infighting among Mandlik and Mushrif was damaging the image of the party in the district and was thus indirectly helping strengthen the 'Jansurajya Shakta Party'.

A NCP workers' delegation from Kolhapur district will soon meet NCP Chief Mr Sharad Pawar in this connection and urge him to remove these leaders from the party for a period of six years if things are not sorted out between them.
