Mayawati sets up new office: senior bureaucrats reshuffled

Lucknow, May 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today effected a major shake-up in the state bureaucracy, posting Shashank Shekhar Singh as the Cabinet Secretary and Deputy Chairman UP state Planning Commision (APC) and Net Ram as the Industrial Development Commissioner(IDC), besides making sweeping changes in Chief Minister Secretariat.

Mr Shailesh Krishna and Mr V K Sharma have been posted as Principal Secrataries to the Chief Minister, while Mr Rohit Nandan, Mr Anup Pandey, Mr N S Ravi and Mr Arun Sinha would be the new secretaries to Ms Mayawti, official sources said here this evening.

Mr Navneet Sahgal, till now the Personal Secretary of Union Minister of State for Steel Akhilesh Das is also likely to be one of the Chief Minister's secretaries after being relieved from the Centre.

Mr J S Deepak, Commissioner Meerut division, has been asked to assume the charge of the Secretary, Appointments.
