Jammu: Hizbul Mujahideen militant killed in Doda

Jammu, May 13: Security forces today gunned down a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant in an encounter near Bhatta bridge in Marwah area of Doda district, police said.

A local HM militant Mohammad Amin alias Jahangir, who was active in Marwah area since 2001, was eliminated by the troops of 11 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police after a fierce gun battle, SSP Doda Manohar Singh told UNI.

One AK rifle, two magazines, 52 rounds and a pouch were recovered from the possession of the slain militant, he informed.
