Cricket betting racket busted in East Delhi
New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) With the arrest of two people, police have busted a cricket betting racket in East Delhi which was being run during the India and Bangladesh match yesterday.
Mahesh Yadav, the kingpin of the gang, and Krishan Kumar were arrested yesterday during a raid in a house located in Bhola Nath Nagar.
At the time of the arrest they were accepting bets on the game, played in Dhaka, and betting worth Rs 5 lakh had already taken place.
Police recovered eight mobile phones, a laptop with hard disk recorder, television set and a calculator.
