Communal clash in MP

Shajapur, MP, May 13 (UNI) Six people, including three women, were injured and seven arrested after members of two communities clashed and damaged property in this district, police said.

The dispute ensued yesterday on Aashta road near Shujalpur township when the driver of a Bhopal-bound bus, carrying a wedding party, was asked to take the vehicle off the road to make way for another bus coming from the opposite direction which also was carrying a marriage party. When the other vehicle reached Shujalpur it was targeted by people who first made the passengers alight from the bus.

Police reached the spot and dispersed the people. The victims, who included members of both communities, were discharged after first aid. Tension briefly prevailed at the township.
