College Management Association announces fee for engineering

Kochi, May 13 (UNI) Kerala Self-Financing Engineering College Managements' Association has announced the annual fee structure for engineering courses in the self-financing engineering colleges between Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Association President G P C Nair said the fee structure had been fixed considering certain parameters like investments made, number of batches and the types of branches in each college.

The general body meeting of the Association decided that all seats in the self-financing colleges would be retained by the managements and admission to these seats would be on the basis of marks obtained in class ten, 12 and entrance examination conducted by the state government.

The Association had also decided to provide reservation to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes as per government norms, Mr Nair noted.

He said a sub-committee had been constituted to print prospectus and application forms for this academic year to ensure that the classes would commence by early July.
