Anna Hazare calls for another freedom struggle
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 13 (UNI) Noted social worker Anna Hazare has stressed the need for another freedom struggle so as to get rid of 'corrupt politicians'.
The Magsaysay award winner was speaking at a programme organised at the Journalism and Mass Communication Department of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University here last night.
He said India was the largest democracy in the world, however, it is more famous for being run by corrupt bureaucrats and tainted politicians.
The crusader against the corruption urged aspiring journalists to write unbiased news and to follow ethics in journalism without succumbing to pressure tactics, as the pen is mighter than the sword.
''Funds can not change the face of the country, but we have to change individuals to achieve the goals,'' he added.
He termed the youths as national strength and called upon them to do productive work. He further advised the youths not to involve in unholy deeds such as corruption.
