Akash to perform 'under water escape' in city

Hyderabad, May 13 (UNI) A daring act of 'under water escape' would be performed by Magician Akash, son of Jadugar Anand, at Hussain Sagar lake located in the heart of the city today.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, Mr Akash said 'he would be sealed in a sack after being chained and handcuffed. Then after he will be locked and sealed in a wooden box, he added.

He said the box would be dropped at a point of good depth in the lake. The breath taking and spectacular performace would be witnessed by the state ministers, film stars and eminent personalities from the city, he added.

Stating that this was the third under water escape being performed in the world, he said the first escape was performed by Harry Houdin in East River in New york in 1912 taking one minute to escape. The second escape was performed by Jadugar Anand, escaping from the Narmada river at Jabalpur in a record time of 40 seconds in 1970, he added.
