Aerosmith, the greatest band in the history of rock and roll, sponsored by Royal Challenge in partnership with DNA Networks, would be performing 'bad boys from Boston' as part of its "Greatest Hits 2007 World Tour"-- their first ever concert in India.

During the two-hour long concert, the legendary Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer will perform some of the best compositions from the band's 33 year history including "Looks Like a Lady, Livin' on the edge, Walk this Way, Sweet Emotion, Falling in Love, I Don't want to miss a thing, Crazy, Angel, Dream On and Janies got a gun." United Spirits Limited Executive Vice President Alok Gupta said that "Royal Challenge was proud to present Aerosmith to the Forever Young Indian audiences. Like Aerosmith, Royal Challenge was a brand that has appealed to a wide spectrum of audiences cutting across age and time. In true sense this is an association of two legends coming together", according to a release here today.

The India concert is part of Aerosmith's 2007 World Tour. Kicked off on April 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the tour would mark the band's first performance outside North America and Japan in eight years.

The Latin America leg would be followed by Eurasia and North America. Apart from India, the band would also perform in United Arab Emirates for the first time ever.

Mr Venkat Vardhan, Managing Director, DNA Networks, said that "Aerosmith is one of America's greatest cult bands and we're proud to be the first to get them to India. They hold the record for the most gold, platinum and multiplatinium albums by any American group and have a very strong fan following in India too. The concert will be a must watch as we are not leaving any stones unturned to make this one of the most memorable gigs in the country so far." Founded in 1973, Aerosmith have been performing as the original line up for the past 34 years, the band has more than 25 bill board top 40s to its credit, including chart busters such as Dream On, Get your wings, Janies got a gun and Crazy. The band's I Don't want to miss a thing from Armageddon staring Tyler's daughter Liv, reached the Number One slot of Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for an Academy award.

Aerosmith's musical evolution over the years has made them major innovators in American hard rock, pop, glam, blues and rap. They have inspired rock legends like Gun's n Roses, Bon Jovi, Nirvana and many more.
