4 charred to death

Gulbarga, Karnataka, May 13 (UNI) Four persons were charred to death when an diesel oil tanker overturned on Gulbarga-Bidar Highway at Hallikheda Village in Bidar Distict in Karnataka State last night.

Police said the vehicle veered off the road and overturned as the driver lost control. Immediately it caught fire killing the four.

The deceased were identified as Santosh Kumar (driver), Manzunadh (cleaner) and Shivakumar(a passenger). The identity of fourth person was yet to be established.

The bodies were charred beyond recognition.

Two fire tenders from Bidar and Humnabad took two hours to douse the fire. The bodies were shifted to Bidar Government Hospital for post-mortem.
