Sugar prices rises on good demand

Mumbai, May 12 (UNI) Sugar prices rose on good demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said today here.

Sugar in small and medium grades rose by Rs five each per quintal on increase of fresh demand.

Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades hiked by Rs five and Rs ten per quintal respectively on lesser stock supply.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,300/1,350, Medium grade Rs 1,325/1,385, Ex-mill Small grade Rs 1,280/1,300, Medium grade Rs 1,310/1,345.
