Strengthen the peace process: Soz to J

Srinagar, May 12 (UNI) Urging people to strengthen the peace process, Union Minister for Water Resources, Prof Saifuddin Soz said the doors were open for all shades of opinions to participate in it.

Addressing a series of public meetings in the frontier district of Kupwara today, Mr Soz urged people to work and pray for the success of the on-going Indo-Pak peace process.

He said there is no other option except dialogue to solve the problems in the state and ensure peace and prosperity.

The minister said the dialogue process initiated by the Central Government is meant for all and doors are open for all shades of opinion to participate in it.

The Union Minister hoped that the peace process would help to ensure the restoration of the lost glory to the people of the valley.

Responding to the demands of the local people, he announced Rs 3 crore for establishment of water supply schemes in the area.
