Kerala: Sobha Devp launches Rs 850cr township

New Delhi, May 12: Realty firm Sobha Developers Ltd (SDL) today announced the launch of its first integrated township 'Sobha City' in Kerala at an estimated cost of Rs 850 crore.

The township spread over 55 acres is located on the Thrissur-Guruvayoor highway, and will be built around a 6.5 acre man-made lake comprising both residential and commercial buildings.

The company aims to complete the project by May 2011.

''We aim to capitalise on the growing demands of Tier II cities by offering the best of facilities to the consumers,'' said SDL Chairman P N C Menon.

The residential space will have 25 villas with vernacular architecture as well as high-rise residential blocks with 423 three-bedroom and 216 four-bedroom apartments.

The township also plans to include a club house measuring 40,000 sq ft, a business hotel, global mall, entertainment centre and an ayurvedic spa.
