RCL to bring down its international call rates
Mumbai, May 12: Private telecom major Anil Dhirubhai Ambani owned Reliance Communications Ltd (RCL) today announced its plans to slash the international calling rates to the United States and Canada on its global call card.
As a result, Reliance subscribers will be able to call the US and Canada at domestic call rates. By using the new Reliance global card of Rs 1,900, subscribers can make their call at the rate of Rs 1.99 per minute.
Making the announcement, RCL president (personal business) S P Shukla said ''This revolutionary rate of just Rs 1.99 is lower than even the STD rates of most operators. And, we are pleased to enable this change using our strength as a truly integrated telecommunications services operator.'' Reliance global card, used in Reliance Mobile, enables international callings and Hello Pre-paid or Post-paid enable PIN less dialling and are available in denominations of Rs 115, Rs 225, Rs 575, Rs 1,130 and now Rs 1,900 at over 2,00,000 retail outlets across India.
