Ramchandra Guha's book released

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) A book on the contemporary Indian history, tracing the post-Gandhian era, authored by well known historian and anthropologist Ramchanra Guha, was released here today by his literary published Picador India.

The book, 'India After Gandhi', is replete with the history of the world's largest democracy.

In this book, Mr Guha lays out some of the most important stories about the contemporary history of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, he said ''The story is forging of a united and democratic nation out of so many disparate and disputatius parts. India has survived for so long, and as a democracy, is the true Indian 'miracle' in itself.'' UNI
