Panjab University student commits suicide

Chandigarh, May 12 (UNI) A postgraduate student of the Panjab University committed suicide by shooting himself dead with a pistol in the Football Ground in the campus here early this morning, police said.

The deceased was identified as Nar Gurinder Singh Brar, first year student of MA Fine Art. His body was recovered from the playground alongwith the weapon and a suicide note.

The body was handed over to his father after a post mortem examination. The suicde note did not hold anybody responsible for the crime, police said.
