Official barred from poll duty

Shivpuri(MP), May 12 (UNI) The Election Commission has directed that District Sports Officer M K Dhaulpuri should not be given any responsibility in the entire process of Assembly byelection in Shivpuri.

Deputy District Returning Officer Anil Khare said this direction had been given by the state's Chief Electoral Officer, but the reason was not known yet.

Polling in Shivpuri is scheduled on June 2 as the seat fell vacant due to the resignation by Ms Yashodhara Raje Scindia (BJP) on her election to the Lok Sabha from Gwalior in a byelection.
