Mayawati elected BSP legislature party leader
Lucknow, May 12: Ms Mayawati was today unanimously elected as the leader of the BSP legislature party in Uttar Pradesh.
The BSP supremo's name was proposed by senior leader Indrajit Saroj and seconded by state party chief Lalji Verma and more than 200 newly-elected MLAs Ms Mayawati later thanked the members for their support.
She will meet Governor T V Rajeswar at 1500 hrs to stake her claim to form the new government in the state.
Ms Mayawati is to be sworn-in as the Chief Minister for a record fourth time tomorrow.
