MACCIA to host seminar on horticulture in Thane

Nashik, May 12: The Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA) will be hosting an exhibition and seminar on horticulture in Thane during September-October this year.

The event will be based on the theme ''Horticulture Economy of Maharashtra'', an MACCIA release here today said.

The exhibition will be held during the last week of September or the first week of October, the release said. It wil have stalls exhibiting quality horticulture products, processing machinery, and information about research, educational and marketing institutions.

The one-day seminar will discuss cultivation and post-harvest aspects of horticulture like storage, marketing, exports, finance, packaging, processing, machineries, Bureau of Indian Standards specifications, and FDA rules and regulations among other things.
