Kolkata-based businessman's abducted son rescued in Bihar

Sheikhpura, May 12 (UNI) The two-year-old son of a Kolkata-based businessman, kidnapped from his residence on May ten, was rescued in Bihar today.

Police here said acting on a tip off, a special combined team of the Kolkata and Bihar police raided a house at Bengalipur Mohalla, under Town police station area in the district, and rescued the child of the textile merchant.

The kidnappers had allegedly demanded a hefty ransom from the victim's family.

Acting on the basis of an FIR filed by the victims father, the Kolkata police swung into action and arrested one Sonu from the city and on the basis of his confessional statement, came to Bihar and rescued the child from the gang's hideout in the district.
