Imphal science meet attracts visitors from across the country

Imphal, May 12 (UNI) Large number of students from across the country today came to witness the annual Science Meet,2007, being held under the theme 'More Crop, More Drop'.

The Manipur Science and Technology Council, Science Teachers' Forum, Manipur(STFM), Manipur Association for the Promotion of Science(MAPS), Manipur Science Communicators' Association(MASACA) and Generation De New Image(GENIM), National Council for Science and Technology.

''The aim of the meet is to build interest in science among the students here and promote scientific temperament,'' the organisers said here at the inauguration of the five-day meet yesterday.

Posters, photo-exhibition, Science-explaining-miracles, puppet shows, interaction with distinguished scientists, scientific film viewing, science-drama and Tara Mandal(Planetarium) are the main features of the programme.

A science talk was organized by the Manipur Association for the Promotion of Science(MAPS) today.
