High Commissioner meets Indore Mayor
Indore, May 12 (UNI) British High Commissioner in India Sir Michael Arthur paid a courtesy visit to City Mayor Ms Umashashi Sharma at her residence to discuss about the city's development.
During discussion on the development works in progress, he was informed yesterday about efforts for the upliftment of population, trade, commerce, employment and water.
The Mayor informed about the increasing influx of population in the state's 'financial capital' and the arrangements made for water, sanitation and sewerage.
Other senior officers of the High Commission, including Deputy High Commissioner Mrs Vicki Treadell, accompanied Sir Arthur.
The High Commissioner also held discussions with industrialists at a meeting organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
