GUVNL withdrew staggering on Industrial units

Ahmedabad, May 12 (UNI) Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) will withdraw the restriction imposed on Non-continuous process High Tension and Low Tension Industrial units from May 14.

GUVNL sources said here today that the restriction of observing weekly staggered holiday imposed on these units will be withdrawn with effect from May 14 hence these industrial units can now use power on all seven days of a week.

However, if the industrial units intended to observe weekly holiday, they will have to observe only the scheduled holiday fixed for the particular area.

Keeping in mind the high requirement of electricity in the state to meet the agricultural demand, GUVNL has imposed one staggered holiday for the non-continuous industrial sector from April 23 so that electricity can be distributed in the agricultural sector.
